Privacy policy
Effective date: 25 July 2026
At a glance
This notice explains what Visionaire Products, Inc. collects when you use visionaireproductsinc.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We are a medical device company. This website is an informational and scientific-exchange site: it does not provide medical care, and we do not collect protected health information through it. If you contact us, we collect what you choose to tell us. If you simply browse, we collect basic technical information needed to run and secure the site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws.
Who we are and how to contact us
Visionaire Products, Inc. (“Visionaire”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described in Your privacy rights, contact us at privacy@visionaireproductsinc.com or by post at:

What this notice covers
This notice applies to personal information we collect through visionaireproductsinc.com and through related communications, events and marketing (together, the “Site”).
It does not apply to information that a hospital, clinic, laboratory or other healthcare provider holds about a patient. Visionaire is not a covered entity or a business associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in respect of this Site, and the Site is not a route for submitting patient data. Please do not send us patient-identifiable information.
It also does not apply to information collected under a separate agreement, such as a clinical investigation agreement, a supply contract or a non-disclosure agreement. Those agreements govern their own terms.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us
You give us information when you complete a form or contact us directly. Depending on the form, this may include:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your telephone number;
- how you describe yourself professionally, for example ophthalmologist, eye care specialist, medical distributor, clinical researcher or healthcare administrator;
- the subject of your inquiry and anything you choose to write in a free-text message; and
- your email address alone, if you join the product waitlist.
Only the field marked as optional may be left blank. Everything else is needed so that we can identify you and answer your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting and security infrastructure records limited technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device characteristics, language preference, referring page, and the pages you view and when.
We use this to keep the Site available and secure, to diagnose faults, and to understand in aggregate which content is useful. It is not used to build a profile about you, and we do not attempt to identify you from it.
Information from other sources
If you interact with us on a third-party platform — for example by following our LinkedIn page or watching a video we have posted — that platform may give us aggregate statistics. We receive this under the platform’s own terms, and its privacy notice governs what it collects from you.
We may also receive your contact details from a colleague who refers you, or from a conference organizer where you have asked to be introduced to us.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device. The Site currently uses only what is strictly necessary to function and to stay secure.
| Category | Purpose | Can you refuse? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Serving pages, load balancing, protecting against abuse and maintaining basic security. | No — the Site cannot work without these. |
| Preference | Remembering choices you make, such as whether you have expanded a section. | Yes, through your browser settings. |
| Analytics | Not currently in use. | Not applicable. |
| Advertising | Not currently in use. We do not run behavioral advertising. | Not applicable. |
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site working.
If we introduce analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this section and, where the law requires consent, ask for it before those technologies are set.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and provide the information you asked for;
- send you product and regulatory updates you have asked to receive, including waitlist notifications;
- assess and progress a potential commercial, clinical or distribution relationship;
- operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site;
- understand in aggregate how the Site is used, so we can make it more useful;
- keep records we are required to keep, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including obligations that apply to medical device manufacturers; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not profile you for advertising.
Our legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your inquiry | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us |
| Marketing and waitlist emails | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time |
| Operating and securing the Site | Our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website |
| Regulatory record-keeping | Compliance with a legal obligation |
| Defending legal claims | Our legitimate interest in protecting the business |
To withdraw consent for waitlist and marketing emails specifically, use the unsubscribe link included in each email, or unsubscribe directly (opens in a new tab) at any time — no need to email us.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights, and you may object as described in Your privacy rights.
When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
We disclose personal information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers. Companies that host the Site, deliver our email, or provide IT and security support. They act on our written instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Professional advisers. Lawyers, auditors, insurers and accountants, where they need the information to advise us.
- Regulators and authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to report a device-related adverse event or comply with medical device regulation.
- Corporate transactions. If we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will tell you if your information becomes subject to a different privacy notice.
- With your direction. Where you ask us to share it.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above.
| Information | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiries that do not lead to a relationship | Up to 24 months from your last contact |
| Waitlist subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe (opens in a new tab), then removed within 30 days |
| Customer, clinical and supplier records | For the life of the relationship, then as required by medical device, tax and corporate law |
| Server and security logs | Up to 12 months |
Some records must be kept for longer. Medical device regulations, and tax and corporate law, set minimum retention periods that override the general periods above. Where that applies, we keep only what the obligation requires.
When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it. Where deletion is not immediately possible — for example because it sits in a backup — we isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.
How we protect your information
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need the information, and regular review of our providers.
No website or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulators where the law requires it, and within the timeframes the law sets.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them: you will receive the same service and the same information either way.
If you are in the United States
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected, and access a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we hold about you;
- obtain a portable copy of information you provided to us;
- opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, and profiling with legal effects — none of which we do; and
- limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information through the Site.
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of their authority. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or writing to privacy@visionaireproductsinc.com with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within 45 days and explain our reasoning. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
California residents may also request, once a year and free of charge, details of any personal information disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code section 1798.83. We make no such disclosures.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
You have the right to access your personal information; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to how we process it; to receive it in a portable format; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA, the authority for your country. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
How to make a request
Email privacy@visionaireproductsinc.com or write to the postal address in Who we are. Tell us what you would like us to do and which email address or other details you used with us.
We will verify your identity in proportion to the sensitivity of the request — usually by confirming details you have already given us. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need a further 45 days. Requests are free unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will explain the reason before doing anything.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing where state law requires it. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for the signal to switch off, but we will continue to treat it as an opt-out if that ever changes.
There is still no agreed technical standard for browser Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them separately. We will update this section if a standard is adopted.
Consumer health data
Some state laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act and Nevada Senate Bill 370, define “consumer health data” broadly enough to include information suggesting an interest in a diagnostic procedure or device.
We do not ask for health information, and you should not send us any. If you volunteer health information in a free-text message, we use it only to answer your inquiry, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone other than the service providers described above. We will not collect or share consumer health data for any other purpose without your separate written authorization, and you may withdraw that authorization at any time by contacting us.
We do not use geofencing around any healthcare facility.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for healthcare professionals and other adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@visionaireproductsinc.com and we will delete it promptly.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers are principally in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred there, where data protection law may differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the UK Addendum where relevant, and we assess whether additional safeguards are needed. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our practices or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when the current version took effect.
If we make a material change, we will give prominent notice on the Site before the change takes effect, and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
